Thanks, I didn't find the add-on forum, I'll post there.

I followed the example here:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Your_first_WebExtension
to create my first web extension.
It would load but did not work on Firefox ESR 45.2.0. Also there is no reload button in the about%3Adebugging page next to the loaded extensions I tried it on another PC with Firefox 48.0.2 and it loaded and the reload button was available next to the debug button. Unfortunately when going to a mozilla.org page the red border did not appear... just as in the other 45.2.0 version.
I would love to get to work using the new WebExtension
Any help with this simple example would be appreciated.
I just updated from 48.0.2 to 49.0.2 and still have the same issue, the red border does not appear on mozilla.org pages.
Does the extension show up as enabled on the Add-ons page? Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then scan down the right side; disabled extensions are at the bottom.
Sorry, I just realized you're using the "Temporary Add-ons" feature, which I've never used. Do you want to try the Add-ons forum? I think that is more suited to developer questions.
