Firefox connect to ctdl.windowsupdate.com

Today, I went to my page in one of the online services. This service usually takes ads in my country. I noticed through the firewall logs to that firefox connected to ctldl.windowsupdate.com/80.239.247.6. The same ip address has been and my service. Ip address is owned by Akamai Technologies. The company is working closely with Microsoft. ctldl.windowsupdate.com microsoft uses not only for updates but also for spying for the user. More precisely to leak information from your computer. On my computer, the firewall blocked ALL but firefox and torrent client. I am very concerned about the fact that firefox connects to ctldl.windowsupdate.com/80.239.247.6. Is microsoft learned to use third-party applications such as firefox for discharging information from your computer. As already mentioned I am very serious about such things, and all the leaks from my computer I blocked.

What is your computer system and Firefox?
You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
What do you think caused Firefox to try to connect to that server? Was it something in a page you visited, or one of your add-ons?
You can use an extension like the following to try to block connections triggered by web pages, but I don't know whether it can help with add-ons:

Alternately, you could use the Windows hosts file to redirect the domain to a localhost address or otherwise "deaden" it. For example:

However, if your Firefox uses a proxy server or alternate DNS service, that probably will bypass the hosts file. And your firewall, for that matter.
