Please note the screen capture.

The first image shows how this website screen I use all the time appears on Firefox. Then next to that is how it is suppose to appear as it appears on IE11. Some kind of plug in is required, but I can't figure out which one is needed to fix this problem.

I've checked Java which is properly installed and flash player is also installed. When I look at this screen through IE11, I see the missing animated image, but when I look at it through firefox, I get a blank area with the message you see displayed saying "A plugi is needed to display this content". This is happening in many other areas as well when I use Firefox. I've tried reinstalling firefox and it still comes up with this issue. I'm frustrated and out of ideas on what to do to get this working correctly.

Please help!

Your system details does not show a player.

Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version: 21.0.0.242 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.621

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Direct link scans current system and browser Note: Other software is offered in the download.

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download.

Hello to The-edmeister and Fred McD:

To the first question from The-edmeister; I appologize for my ignorance: To the best of my knowledge I know Adobe Flash is installed which makes the images appear on IE11. I'm not versed on what is needed for Firefox however. Seems there is a difference which I need to be educated on.

To Fred McD:

That's quite a bit I need to take time to learn and check into. Let me try these suggestions and see what I come up with.

Thank you to the both of you for taking time to try and help. I'll see what more I can learn thanks to the suggestions and report back later.

Oh, to Fred McD:

My newer computer is an HP SmartScreen. It uses both the Windows 7.0 desktop and the 8.1 touch screen.

You stated to install the plug in only and not the active X. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does not the active X work with the Windows 7.0 system and won't I need that for that platform versus the smart screen display of 8.1 on the combo system I'm using by HP. I trust I asked that question correctly?

Hello To Fred McD!

Hey, guess what!

I clicked onto the link you provided as follows:

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

An it fixed the problem! I'm overjoyed! THANK YOU! I could have sworn my Flash player was current for IE11. So is this a different flashplayer that works for Firefox? Or was I just behind in my updates and the installation applies to both browsers? Just trying to learn for the future.

I thought this was going to be an ordeal and for a change it was a simple fix. :-)

Let me know?
