Gifs and short videos won't play
Hello, I have a problem with gifs and short videos on Firefox. Gifs on 9gag, or short animation on tumblr won't load, they appear as still images. If i try to open video in seperate tab, it only shows controls but isn't loading. No crashes or error messages. Problem didn't occure after any specific update or event. The only thing I'v done was trying to install some burning CD software like ashampoo and alcohol 120% to burn gift for a friend, so this might be some malware related error cause license on Kaspersky is expired for over 3 months. Everything wokrs fine in Edge and Explorer. Steps i have taken so far:
- Tried to refresh pages without cache (shift+left mouse button)
- Refreshed Firefox
- Launched Firefox in safe mode
- Reinstalled Firefox, Java, FlashPlayer and graphical drivers from Nvidia with clean installation using RevoUninstaller
- Installed beta version of Firefox
- Installed grease monkey script from this topic: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1114110 and tried to add 9gag to it.
- Checked media.something keys in about:config from various sites and topics revolving around this issue (none were set as in said topics, everything was on default)
- Installed QuickTime and VLC for codecs
Despite everything, things like this: http://img-9gag-fun.9cache.com/photo/aMGWZKW_460svwm.webm won't ever work. Can someone please help me? I love using FF and as much as i like to try Edge, i don't want to leave my favourite adblocker and ghostery.

Hello, I've resolved a problem! For other pople struggling with it I will post what i did.
First, full virus scan, it said that no infections were found but maybe refreshing antyvirus license activated some kind of firewall for malware.
I deinstalled everything (Firefox, Mozilla Maintance service, Java, any program that showed up after problems occured) again. This time, using RevoUninstaller. Only thing I didn't uninstalled with revo was flash player, which i uninstalled with Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller. Look it up on internet, it's official thing.
Then, i searched whole computer with phrases "Firefox" and "Mozilla" and deleted everything it found.
Then, rebooted computer, installed and launched Ccleaner doing full scan and repaired register.
After all of that, finally I installed firefox. To be sure, I installed it under diffrent path so any strange connections would be broken.
Finally, it works. I can login to Tumblr and watch mp4,mp4, and webm videos.
I would update if anything crashes

As a test, disable your protection programs.
thank you - for a start i would hello, please try to refresh firefox and see if this can address the issue... also: what exactly happens when you try to play the sample video you've mentioned at the end of your originalquestion (any error messages,...)?

I don't get any error messages. Video just never loads up. In fact, i can open it in separate window, and download in on my computer and launch VLC to play it and everything works just fine, but browser still can't load it up I only see controls. If I look closely I can see that upon clicking loading circle spins very fast clockwise for a second, and then anti-clockwise very slowly
As I mentioned already in first post, i already had taken all steps you adviced.
If by blocking software you mean Antivirus, then I'm using Kaspersky Antivirus, but I'm using it for 10 or so years and it never made any problems. In fact, it was almost disabled because license expired 3 months before issue with videos showed up. If by blocking software you meant AdBlock, then i tried to disable it when I launched Firefox in safe mode.
Also, now I can't login on Tumblr. I tried everything, Tumblr works on Explorer and Edge, but not on Firefox. I suspect I might've got a virus while downloading Ashampoo or Alcohol 120%. I've bought license to Kaspersky and will run a full scan to see if that helps.
