Firefox crashes
Hundreds of crashes. Fill out crash report and send.
Latest crash report: (This the format I've been using the past several weeks-only date & time are changed) "12/5/2015 11:38:11 AM This is a real trash browser. Crash after crash after crash. This only started happening when I switched to WIN7 and has been happening (several times a day) for nearly two years. I've sent hundreds of crash reports and you have answered exactly ZERO. Yet the problem persists. You people suck - just like this browser! PLEASE E-MAIL ME A RESPONSE SO I KNOW YOU GOT THIS."
NEVER have I gotten a return email. I've tried uninstall/reinstall, remove apps, safe mode and anything else I find to do. Crashes happen early on in each browsing session and then get less frequent. URL or content seem to have no effect on when crashes occur. After two or three crashes I can be connected for hours without further crash. May not even be a Firefox issue, but the lack of response from FF indicates a very poor business model. I think your crash reporter is WORTHLESS.

That are crashes in JavaScript (JIT compiler?) that aren't showing a specific cause, so nobody would be able to tell its cause. With such a crashing stack you would have to follow basic troubleshooting steps for crashes.
If you can reproduce these crashes on specific web pages then this might help. If the crashes happen randomly then a more likely cause is an extension or plugin or external software interfering.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Cor-el, thanks for the advice. The crashes are indeed random (unfortunately). Wish I knew how to decipher the crash reports. You've been the most help form all my searches trying to ascertain the cause of the crashes. I don't think an extension or plug in is the problem as it occurs in safe mode. I'll likely have to uninstall (unless I can disable) external software until I find the causing the problem. First I'll try the malware scans again. Haven't yet tried Kasperky or Microsoft safety scanner- maybe they will turn up something. Again, thanks for replies and the advice.
You're welcome.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.

Here it is 3 months later and still having same problem. Never had crash issue with XP on this computer or with Vista on 2 other 'puters. Running win7 now and have had this problem from day 1. I've tried everything that has been recommended and still problem persists. Typically I get 2 or 3 crashes during the first half hour on the internet and then I can go hours before another crash. Crash reporter is a joke - hundreds of crash reports sent in and not a single response. At least on this forum someone has tried to help. If I ever get this figured out I'll certainly post the cause and remedy.
Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
After you have done the above, there is a button to clear the reports.

The main purpose of the crash reporting is to gather data for the developers and engineers that work on Firefox and fixing the problems with it. There is normally so much data in the CrashReports that Developers have no need to contact the enduser.
Although it is very rare that developers will try to contact an individual, we do ask for email addresses in case that is neccesary. If a particular type | signature of crash is common then every week it will generate thousands of crash reports.
Did you try Windows safemode as was suggested here by cor-el ?
Try all at once, Windows safemode, Firefox safe mode and all plugins disabled does it still crash like that if so let us have 2 or 3 Crash IDs. Sometimes we get lucky and can tell from the crash report what needs to be done to fix the problem.
I am not sure what we can do to help. Obviously Firefox does not crash for most of us. We need to try to find out what is different with your Firefox use or setup.
This is free software by the way and most of us here are just fellow users of Firefox trying to help one another.

Thx for your reply. I'll give that a try and get back to you. I'm headed out of town pretty quickly so probably won't be until late Sunday or Monday.
