Synch is messed up...won't pull in my desktop settings...and why can't it see my safari and chrome bookmarks and import them
This is not what I was expecting....make the desktop/laptop version work for iPad....and let it import the bookmarks from those browsers.... I don't want forum...I want to connect with someone with Mozilla support...

HI Cccballplayer79, The forum is the location for Mozilla Support and we are happy to help. In this first version of FIrefox for iOS the features you are looking for, including importing bookmarks on the ipad to Firefox do not exist yet. As well as the feature to sync desktop settings. Not all of the settings are implemented.
We're always looking for ways to improve Firefox for iOS.

As for syncing data from the desktop to the iOS device, the bookmarks, tabs, and passwords will only sync to the device. Tabs and history I believe will sync both ways. Please stay tuned for more features.
