I have just upgraded my PC operating system from Windows 8.1 to the new Windows 10. Since I have installed Windows 10, Thunderbird has started to give me problems when opening, with the following error "No reply from thunderbird" . Close the program or wait response (Nessuna risposta - Chiudere il programma o attendere la risposta) After two or three attemps Thunderbird seems to work. Any suggestions ? Do you mean "Not Responding"?

Please start *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled.

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/safe-mode

Thank you for your reply Wayne. After having upgraded the previous version of Thunderbird to the new one 38.1.0 , the program seems to work and the problem solved. Hope it will continue...

Windows 10 64bit pro Thunderbird 38.2.0 Windows comparability checker says that Thunderbird is incompatible.

Running Thunderbird 38.3.0 with Windows 10/64 Fresh install

TB periodically freezes with "not responding message. It recovers after 1-3 minutes. Can't pinpoint what causes the problem. Same problem in Thunderbird Safe Mode.

Doesn't seem to freeze in Windows Safe Mode but Windows is unusable in this mode.

I have the same exact issue as delpi767 above. I'm running 38.3.0 with Webroot and Spybot S & D. Never had any problems like this with XP or Windows 7.
