This is the other issue I have been having lately. Every time I go to load Firefox I get a tab saying "Connecting"

While that is the only tab shown, when I go to "List All Tabs" it shows Several Blank Tabs with no name in the groups. This explains why when I went to close out Firefox When I have only one tab open it says "Warn Me When Closing Multiple Tabs" and list 3- 9 tabs. So I went to the tab list and right clicked on one of those blank tabs and copy the URL to them and it shows ...

"about:blank"

Images below.

This also explains when I restart Firefox it loads extra Blank New Tabs and crashes doing so.

Any Clues to this?

Plus the issue with mu icon that were not loading on toolbar all show up also. All that with one Add-on ?

I added it and removed it twice in a row and the issue came back . So how do I report issue?

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s).

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.

If the problem is still there,

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the sessionstore file(s). Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.

Still doing the same after all that.

It still seems to me that a bad session history file getting restored is the most likely explanation if these tabs are already there at startup...

The sessionstore.js file won't exist while Firefox is running, you would need to wait for Firefox to completely exit and update settings files before you could find and remove it. You also would want to go into the sessionstore-backups folder and remove or rename any of the following files before starting Firefox back up again: recovery.js, recovery.bak, previous.js.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder that stores session data. Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

You can find these session files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox Profile Folder.

previous.js (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.js from previous session that was loaded successfully)
recovery.js (latest version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
recovery.bak (previous version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
upgrade.js-<build_id> (backup created during an upgrade of Firefox)

You can copy a file from the sessionstore-backups folder to the main profile and rename the file to sessionstore.js to replace the current file (make a backup copy of the current sessionstore.js).

Ok I removed the .js files in sessionstore-backups and restated. the goggle page finally loaded and didn't tell me "Connecting" and page blank but the extra 3 tabs blank still show in the Tab List. Is it because in the

Because at the top of the recovery.js it reads >

I see that you have quite an impressive list of extensions installed according to the System Details list (I see 159 enabled and 2 disabled). With so many extensions installed there can always be problems and isolating a possible cause can be quite a challenge. Reporting issues will always require steps to reproduce to be able to pinpoint the cause and fix it.

I been using this many and more for the past 6 years. I could probably go down to 100 if needed to. But these add-on do speed up all I have to do on the internet and getting work done.
