Firefox constantly crashes. Have tried Resetting to initial state, disabling extensions (ad blocker) in running in normal mode and safe mode. Still crashes. Sticking with Firefox because Chrome is slower than a dead dog and I'm just not into IE.

Crash report ID is bp-e75bea61-b792-4aa5-aea8-9f9422150429

Any help will be appreciated.

Two thirds of the crashes (#1, #2, #4, #5, #6, #7) seem to be related to Samsung Security Software for businesses: "ESCORT as an integrated PC security solution blocks information leakages, manages security loopholes and your HW/SW assets." http://www.sdse-samsung.com/serviceline/SmartSecurity.htm

I'm not sure why the sudden incompatibility, if that is the issue.

A lot less flags. But your memory use is high.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

https://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Well, for the most part Samsung security software is complete crap. Seriously cuts down on our ability to get work done. But, that's where I work so I have to live with that for now.

In reply to Fred McD:

I updated plugins and drivers as you suggested and things seem to be way more stable. Only two crashes yesterday. That's way down from the usual 7-8 per day so I'm relatively happy.

Thanks for you help and suggestions.

Disable its add-on in the Add-ons Manager.

Also, open its settings, and tell it to leave the browsers alone.
