I am getting the following error message when I got to a website...

"Ht Permission Denied... Please make sure that you have an index.html/index.php file in public_html folder. This message will go away when you install your blog or upload site contents to public_html folder. Contact support department if you need assistance."

The site loads correctly in internet explorer. I tried all the suggestions I could find including; reset firefox, disabled antivirus, prefetching and IPV6, cleaned cache and history, rebooted computer and nothing works.

any idea what to do now?

Thanks guigs2 but that did not work. I checked and there was no .htaccess file. I had file explorer set to show hidden files. I created a blank .htaccess file just in case. That did not help.

anybody?

I get the same error you do in Firefox, Chrome, and IE. Something is definitely strange on the server. Can your host help?

Initially, I asked the host for help, which then successfully did a - down just for me- check, and advised me to clear browser etc. That didn't work, so I went the whole reset, about:config etc on FF browser. Since down just for me didn't show a problem I ruled out the host.

Maybe I should ask again? Any other ideas?
