How to configure and keep newtab number of miniatures?
How can I stop Firefox changing newtab page every time it updates? I loved the 3x3 miniatures, then it got changed to useles bar + 2x3 (luckly I could restore it to 3x3) and now (firefox 33) it's 2x4 ignoring that is configured in about:config to 3x5 (if I change it to 3x3, newtab changes to 2x3), also some miniatures I had in the bottom row appear when moving other ones.

I don't know what's up with the rows and columns prefs in about:config in Firefox 33, but I have - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/ - installed and it works properly in Firefox 33 for setting up columns and rows of the "top sites". I like being able to have a selected image as the background for the new tab page.

It's not ideal as you need to install a third party plugin, but works.
