Some quite strange questions, which I'm not sure to which category it belongs to, While I use last FF on my main machine, I have another machine that still use firefox 56.0.2 since I like some of the addons there that never been remade/updated to newer FF versions,

It worked fine for years but suddenly all of the addons are disabled no matter what I've tried to do, Using backup, reinstall, about:config and setting xpinstall.signatures.required to false, you name it,

I was wondering if Mozilla pulled the plug on something or if some fixed date for things to expired has arrvied, As well as if there's a way to fix it in the settings/other means?

Some people said that Dev or Nighty edition can actually turn the xpinstall signatures to false while normal FF might have the option but won't actually do it, The problem is that I have no cluse which of their versions is equal to good old 56.0.2, Can anyone tell me?

How can I disable the sidebar opening up to my history every time I open a new window? I want to completely disable the sidebar from appearing every time a new window is opened.

using (file, edit, view) type page and would like to change the bookmarks dropdown menu i would like to get rid of: Bookmark current tab, seach bookmarks, bookmark all tabs and the separators i don't use tabs, i just open new windows if i can't delete them, would like to be able to move them to the bottom thank you

Why when you click on the extensions button (jigsaw puzzle icon) in the toolbar to open the extensions panel the “Personalize Your Firefox” screen appears ???

When you right click a gear icon in a particular extension, the drop down menu has no "pin to tool bar" option, it only shows "copy/select all/print..." options ???

Since the recent update I'm having problems with rows I can pin sites on to. Before there were 3 rows now only 1. How do I increase the number of rows to 3. Other articles talk about a gear on the right hand side but this no longer appears. Can someone please give me an easy step by step way to do this.

Hi. The bookmarks in my bookmarks toolbar are 3 different sizes; how can I adjust their size to make them all smaller so I can see more of the ones I use most please?

Update - please ignore, I was just being a bit dumb; have shortened the bookmark names - ta-dah!!

Hi I can't find any way to turn off/on headers and footers in FF for Android (or FF Beta or FF Nightly). I thought it might be possible via about:config but I can't access that either. Any suggestions? Regards Charlie

Hi, I am using Firefox browser on Windows 11, Dell machine with Cirruslogic sound driver There is sound intrruptions when a new music source has started while a music already playing on another tab. While a radio or youtube music stream playing on a tab (in background) and if other tab starts a new sound like youtube or video an any page when started the music background got interrupted (like a small pause operation). If I do the same with chrome or opera, the music goes on without promblem seamlesly. Also if a music stream continues, opening a new music stream on chrome do es not effects. So, the only proble ise with opening sound from different tabs interrups each other on only Firefox browser PS:I am using the Treestyle tab extension. I do not know there is a relation or not Regards Murat

I love using the sidebar button (not the permanent vertical sidebar, but the button in the main toolbar that pops up a sidebar when I want it).

However, I want it to default to Synced Tabs, but it always defaults to Bookmarks whenever I restart Firefox. I already have a bookmarks toolbar, and don't need them in the sidebar.

Is there a setting somewhere that would let me set the default to Synced Tabs?

Using Imac m3 and Sonoma and latest version of Firefox. An instructional site I frequent contains videos hosted both on You Tube and on Kajabi. The videos from Kajabi show a blank space where the thumbnail would be while the YT videos appear and play fine. However, when I switch to Safari the videos appear. Sounds like a firefox glitch but I can't figure out which setting to change...if it is a settings issue. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

On my "new tab" page, the "add a shortcut" button is missing. I can pin, unpin, move, and dismiss shortcuts freely, but only those which automatically appear. Unfortunately the page I'd like to pin is not in the auto-generated shortcuts list (even expanded to 4 lines). It is in my recently bookmarked pages, but the context menu there does not allow adding it to the shortcuts. I use Windows, Nightly 138.0a1 (2025-03-13) (64-bit).
