"I’ve been having trouble with choppy YouTube videos in Firefox. It happens on both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections. My system is running Windows 10, and I’ve already tried disabling hardware acceleration and clearing my browser cache. The issue persists even when I’m in Safe Mode. I’m using the latest version of Firefox (XX.XX). Any suggestions on how to fix this?"

I signed into my firefox account on my wife's computer and now ALL of her bookmarks, passwords are mixed in with my data. I've signed out of both accounts on that computer. I've signed out and relogged in on my computer. This is not a temporary issue. All of her data is somehow in my account. This seems like a MAJOR security flaw of the software. Were both using Windows 11 computers.

I've tuned in to Firefox this morning to find that I'm kind of shut out, no access to my usual apps, and required to enact some difficult backing up etc. When I explore, it seems to relate to Windows 10 losing its backup from Microsoft. But I'm running Windows 11, not 10. What's going on? Is this legitimate? If so, why is it complicated and why wasn't it forewarned (by Firefox)?

Normally Firefox sponsor ads on home page occasionally inserts an new ad. I will support some occasional ads by clicking on the new ad to give Firefox 'click credit' then deleting new ad. Today when I delete the new ad another pops up 10-15 times an will not stop. That is too much. I do voluntarily support Firefox with monthly donation.

How do I stop the constantly returning ads?

I accidentally typed my protonmail password into the field of my username/mail address. I don't remember what more I did (propably answered yes to save) but now there is as autofilled my password for username always I open my Protonmail account. I am using Firefox as browser (should be the newest version) while Emailing.

I tried to delete autofill of Firefox according to the next advise: "go to Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to "Forms and Autofill," and uncheck "Autofill addresses" to stop saving them"

Then I was astonished. There is no "Forms and Autofill" setting on my Firefox at all!

Protonmail settings didn't help either nor Windows 11 - neither FAQ.

I set the about:config settings when I got the new computer early last year. It's been working fine. Suddenly, searches are popping up again to the urlbar.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar is still set to false. Keyword.enabled is still set to false.

I see a couple of site references to browser.fixup.alternate.enabled, but it doesn't exist.

How do I get FF back to proper search in the search bar?

You started pushing a widget a while back that shows the days I've been on Yahoo, concurrent and otherwise. This thing is annoying and I want it gone. I don't care how much I've used Yahoo on my devices and You already know via tracking cookies.

Make it go away or tell me how to get rid of it - PLEASE.

Suddenly I cannot search from the search bar. It defaults to the address bar. why "fix" something that was not broken. Being forced to use the address bar is frustrating. If you go directly to the address bar, it tells you it cannot find that site.

Previous solution: switch browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false does not work anymore.

Please help.

I had to actually sign up fort a Mozilla account,the multiple hoops I had to jump through were ridicules, in order to ask a question of Firefox. I do not want my address bar to be my search engine. How do I disable the search engine in my address bar? And now I have to wait for an answer!!!!!!!! I used to love and trust Firefox. Not anymore.

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . Hey, I have a new laptop and want to login to my account. My account is an hotmail.com one. After giving the password Mozilla is suppose to send me an email with an authentification number. The email is not coming. Not in the spam section, anywhere. Tried multiple times, same issue. Add Mozilla to my contact list, nothing changes. Tried to change my Mozilla account email address, not possible as I need to pass through this process again. Is my only option to delete my account and creat a new one with another email address?

I have downloaded this plugin, but I cannot find any advice on how to operate it. I have opened a page (which I have created) rendering part of a high res iiif image, whose whole iiif pyramid is available for viewing. But I cannot find any button that activates the plugin.

The plugin promises "With this addon installed, you will be able to download the highest available resolution for files available on digital libraries compatible with the IIIF protocol."

How can I download the whole high res image?

normally i just click the forefox icon on my taskbar and type claude.ai in the address field but today i was messaged that the claude program needed a mozila account - so I had to set one up. why and still cannot get to Claude

i've been having an issue with back ups(not the problem here) but at one point, i changed a secondary account to the main one, and now when i try to log in, and it sends the verification email to my email account, i never get the emails, so i cant log back in, i dont recieve any of them, checked spam, and every folder i have, not only for that email account, but for all the ones i have connected to my mozilla account and i dont have any emails there, how can i fix this
