URL's do not copy and paste into my AOL email as links, how to get this to happen such as when I use IE?

I often copy the URL's of web site's I'm on and then copy them as "links" into an email to send to friends. When I copy and paste the URL's using Firefox, they do not "paste" as colored and underlined links the way they do if I'm using IE. How can I set up Firefox in the way that IE works so that when I copy URL's they will paste into my emails as links to the specific web page?
