Dropdown boxes dont display dropdown menu when clicked

No dropdown box shows the dropdown menu when the dropdown button is clicked. I can only select different entries by using the up/down keys of the keyboard. Deactivating all addons/plugins or deactivating visual themes does not solve the issue.
