My email was hacked in a data breach decades ago but I am now getting more serious problems: I and my friends on my contact list are getting spam emails from me. So they are actually using my email account to send them and therefore I cannot block them. Also, I have noticed that I am not getting emails from my bank and energy company who say that they have been delivered. However I have not received them. Is there a way to stop this? Someone suggested setting up an alias email account linked to my email. Would this work? I have tried a full scan but cannot find anything suspicious on my laptop or phone. Does anyone know how I can sort this problem out?
