Why can't I use Firefox and Netflix at the same time anymore??

I used to be able to open Netflix in a tab, move Firefox over to my second monitor, put Netflix in fullscreen, and still be able to use the same Firefox window just fine in my main monitor while watching a video (it would run just fine as long as I didn't close the tab). Everything works fine right now except that last part and it is highly annoying! No matter what I try, putting Netflix into full screen mode just takes over the Firefox window and I can't do anything without having another Firefox window open just for Netflix (so dumb when it worked perfectly before :P). Running Netflix in Chrome has the same behavior - can't use the browser window with Netflix in full screen). Even testing it on a brand new install of Windows 7 and a brand new install for Firefox didn't solve the problem. So, what's changed??!? Did I miss a memo or something??

(PS. Yes, Silverlight, Windows, Firefox, etc etc is up-to-date.)
