Firefox flash memory leak?

In task manager, I generally see Firefox constantly at around ~300 MB of memory usage. As soon as I leave a flash video on (browsing Twitch.tv for example), this memory usage eventually balloons to over 3,000 MB of memory usage. Eventually the browser just freezes and I am forced to close it.

I'd also like to note that closing the tab with the video on it apparently does not free up the memory. Only closing the entire browser and reopening the browser brings it back to the ~300 MB memory usage.

I have checked my flash version to be the latest along with the latest graphics driver. I also checked to ensure hardware acceleration is enabled in the flash settings. I'm on Windows 10 64 bit. Is there anything else I can do on my end?
