Many times I type in a website, it flashes on, then Yahoo Error page appears redirecting me elsewhere. Why isn't Firefox displaying the page I want?

Many times I type in a website, it flashes on, then Yahoo Error page appears. If I backspace my desired webpage appears for about two seconds then the Yahoo Error comes back. Must change to a different browser to get my desired site.
