I remember earlier versions of Firefox had a menu item whereby you could forward the link to a web page you were reading, what happened to it?

I often read web page articles that I would like to share with my friends. I think there used to be a menu item which would allow you to send the link, using your own e-mail program, to a friend. What ever happened to it, or, was I remembering it from another browser? Your answer is very much appreciated.

You can find this in two places now:

(1) There is an icon for the Email Link feature that you can add to a toolbar. It is available in the collection of unused icons when you go into the Customize mode. See: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.

(2) If your toolbars and graphical menu are already full, you can use the classic File menu. If you don't regularly display the menu bar, you can tap the Alt key or press F10 to display it temporarily. Then it's under File > Email Link.

If you haven't used this for a while, you might need to set Firefox up to work with your preferred email program or site: Change the program used to open email links. Unfortunately, the webmail setup can be missing or glitchy, so if it doesn't work, please post back about what mail site you're trying to use for further suggestions.

Thanks for the reply and solution. I chose #1. The way I did this in the past was solution #2. Again, thank you very much! Ron
