Can TB repair itself, and, if so, how?
I suddenly am experiencing a slowness in TB. I wonder if there is a way of TB repairing itself similar to some other programs? If so, how do you initiate it?
Chosen solution
It would be nice for TB to repair itself on some common items. I understand that safe mode is the closest that TB comes to it.

Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode.

Does the problem go away?

Safe mode isn't repairing anything. It's supposed to help determining what the problem is.
