SD card disappear after a few minutes on FOS 1.3 on Revolution

more options

Hello, I use since a few days a GP Revolution installed with Firefox OS 1.3. There is a strange bug with the sdcard. When I boot the phone, the sd is recognized, I can take pictures, listen my musics. After a few minutes, the sdcard is not recognized anymore until I reboot the phone. I've tried the sd on another smartphone and it's working fine. If anybody have an idea.... Thanks, Christian.

Thanks for this solution. I've tried this morning and my SD have been available all the day. It seems to have resolved the issue. If it's happened again I'll ask to geekphone as you suggest because it doesn't seem to be a bug in Firefox OS.

Best regards,

Christian.

Hello,

unfortunatly, the issue is back again. After a few research some users had already the problem with ZTE phones. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/975354

I do as suggested, I used the tool to format the SD. The problem is still the same. The SD is working a few minutes and then disappear.

Hi, I am trying to understand the situation. I understand that some users are having problems with the computer reading the phone reading the SDcard.

Are you having issues with just the phone reading the SIM? If that is the case, can you check to see what the settings are for : Settings -> Media Storage -> USB Storage Settings -> Media Storage -> Default media location?

Also did you use the Format SD card option on the phone or did you format it through the computer?

Something also to check to make sure to do is if you do attach it to a computer, please be sure to disconnecting the phone through the OS before disconnecting the phone manually. unplugging the phone abruptly may cause the sdcard to get into a bad state.

In my case, I've tried to format with a computer and with the phone : same behaviour.

Step 1 : I start the phone, the sdcard is available, I can take photos, view gallery, listen musics, etc.

Step 2 : After a few minutes, the sdcard disappear, I have a message "no storage available". In the storage settings, the Media storage option become greyed out.

Step 3 : What is amazing is the following. With no sdcard (according to the phone), I plug the phone on my laptop, activate the usb share, the memory card is available, I can copy, read, etc. I unplugged it properly by the remove function of the OS and disconnect the cable.

Step 4 : I come back to gallery or music, I have a message that sdcard is busy and I have to reboot to restart to step 1. Very strange because it means that the OS see the sd card....

Hope it can help to resolve the issue. I checked on the GS forum and others users have the same issue on the revolution and previous zte models.
