Live bookmarks folder missing
The live bookmarks folder is missing. I have tried various suggestions found on this site but had no success

You can check the Web Feed entry on the "Tools > Options > Applications" page (Preview in Firefox)

Just to add to the above. If I go to a web site that has a feed I do get a button to subscribe with live bookmarks being the target. If I press the button nothing happens. At some stage in the past I dragged my existing live feeds to a new folder. They all still work. Perhaps I deleted the live bookmarks folder at that time?
<Shift><Control> B to open the bookmarks window. In the search box, upper right, type a few letters of the site you want.
I am not sure how your answer is related to a missing 'Live Bookmarks folder' I want to be able to view RSS feeds. When I go to a site that offers a feed I get a button provided by Firefox but it does not work because the LIVE BOOKMARKS FOLDER IS MISSING
Well.....If you can't find the folder, maybe you can still find the bookmark.
Do you mean that you do not get any entries if you click a live feed (RSS) bookmark or did you lose a bookmark that used to open a live feed?
You can find a button in the toolbar palette to add a live feed and drag this button on a toolbar (Navigation Toolbar).
As much as I appreciate the attempts to help me, I just wish people attempting to help me would first read what I have said... I have tried everything that can be found regarding this on this site. My existing live feeds still work. The problem is that I cannot add new feeds. I no longer have a live bookmarks feed. If someone knows how to get it back please let me know
Yes I did drag the button onto my task bar. So for example if I press it now it opens a dialog allowing me to subscribe to this feed. However the dialog wants to assign it to live feeds which does not exist. So when I press the subscribe button it does nothing
Do you see a preview of the live feed?
What is the current setting for Web Feed in "Tools > Options > Applications" ?
The Web Feed was set to Preview, I changed it and now it works. Thank you
My Firefox (27.0) does not have "Options" in Tools dropdown column
