Chosen solution

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

Hello, this should be a easy fix! Check out this link for an explanation how to get your navigational bar back!

Navigation buttons like back, home, bookmarks and reload are missing (Take a look at the "Showing the navigation bar section.")

This answer is to help getting back your ADDRESS BAR when you've lost your address bar in Firefox 11.0 I had this very frustrating problem myself (AGAIN - please note this is how to get your ADDRESS BAR back.. NOT the Navigation.Bar as one response below alludes to) I right clicked on the AddOns bar - the one that ought to have had the address bar showing in it, and then clicked "Customize". AS soon as I did this, I could see the address bar showing in a bar size that was two to three times the normal height - (this also revealed many icons I didn't even know I had installed), but when I closed the customize box, the address bar (and some of the icons) disappeared again, so I RE-opened the Customize options box and went back in.

This time, I found that when I removed a large number of the Add-ons the real problem that was revealed was that I had been crowding the Add.ons bar with too many icons. (In my case, the sequence of the order that I had the Address bar in was also an issue - so) I shifted the position-location of it to the top left to be certain, and then everything was back to normal again.

It might be worth noting too Judy.. that just after I thought I had everything 'fixed', I actually encountered a further extension of my problem when I closed down and then re-opened my browser windows - and ended up back at the same place again..

SO . . . to fully resolve this, I had to completely uninstall FireFox . . . (kept my private settings though - you really should keep those because they take ages to build up and develop..) . . . because I discovered I had saved a copy of the FireFox 10.2 setup program - so I went forward with the process of uninstalling the version 11 from Hell... and am happily back with version 10 now. (But since you've experienced the same problem, it may prove worthwhile to note that the first time I booted up version 10, it TOO had no address bar displaying initially - but thankfully.. when I went into the CUSTOMIZE settings, Low.and.behold.. there it was as an option (labelled "Location") and when I clicked and dragged this "Location" icon to the toolbar, peace was restored in the Universe.

BY THE WAY EVERYBODY... If you ever need an older version of any software, you can usually find a copy almost anything at http://www.oldapps.com

And to save you a step searching.. for either an older version of Firefox ~OR~ any of the sequence of BETA versions of the new FireFox Ver.12, you can get them all at this link - http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php (As of April 11th, 2012 - they are currently at Beta-Step.5)

one at this site - where older versions of many many MANY software programs can be found as well...
