I cannot open links on websites. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Some links can be opened, but others cannot. I can tab to links but not all are available. I cannot scroll up and down w the arrows on the right, but have to grab the bar and run it up and down. I can order stuff online, but usually can't get to the cart to check out and pay. These are safe websites, like Kohls and JcPenneys. Very frustrating. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Inability to scroo up down with the keyboard, including PageUp, PageDn, SpaceBsar, BackSpace is due to "F7" caret browsing -- turn it off

Inability to use a site with heavy advertising, or you have to be redirected through another site.

  1. turn off "Adbock Plus" extension at its toolbar icon.
  2. turn off pop-up blocking
  3. turn off redirect blocker

I can't guess at what links can't be opened without a url and exactly where to look. Okay one guess

  • make sure you have JavaScript turned on, or if you have NoScript extension make an exception for the site or just dump it and work on improving your own Adblock Plus filters.

Don't laugh, but it seems that I can't open any link that is on the top inch and a half of the site. Any site. And if I scroll down then what it shown on the top inch and a half is also unclickable.

So I did what you told me. Once I get to safe mode, everything is fine. I went through the list of solutions, however, if I am in safe mode everything is disabled so I can't get to it. Grrrrrrrr.

Thank heavens I don't have a lot of extensions. Apparently that was the problem. Thanks for the help

Glad to have helped, and that you solved your problem, but we'd also like to know what extension was causing the problem.

It was the 5th extension listed. I disabled them all and I re-abled them 1 at a time. I think it was "Stop-" something, but I'm not sure. Sorry, I was too excited that it was fixed to pay attention.
