Cannot authenticate to Gmail accounts

I had to hard-kill my Thunderbird 78.5.1 (64-bit) Windows 10 in the Task manager, and after that all of my gmail accounts lost authentication. But when a small google window appears to re-authenticate, I type email address, press Next, and instead of going to password, nothing happens. So I am basically stuck at that window.

To clarify: When I try to create another gmail account, the same happens. When I wipe out the whole profile and create a new one, all is good. When I import my backup from a year ago, all is fine as well. Therefore I think the Thunderbird profile got corrupted somehow. How can I fix it (maybe delete some file or edit it)?

I am not sure if this indeed helps for 100 percent, because what I did was I just restored a previous backup profile and let Thunderbird update all the messages, but common sense tells that the problem was sort of on the side of Google's service, and not Thunderbird (the problematic window was Google's). That's my best bet. Thank you!
