Hello,

Whenever I open Firefox, I simply want www.google.com to be the only tab to open and load.

Right now, Firefox opens my previous tabs every time I open the application and I cannot stand it. I do not want this feature at all. I want my entire previous history of tabs to be completely WIPED whenever I open Firefox. I want absolutely no memory of any tabs I previously visited. I only want www.google.com to open in a single tab every time I open the browser.

How do I achieve this?

Thanks

Hi Saleem, Firefox may restore your previous session automatically in these circumstances:

(1) Firefox is set to restore your previous session on the Options page (first option)

(2) Firefox did not shut down correctly and Firefox performs an automatic crash recovery

(3) Firefox integrates with a Windows 10 feature to restore apps that were open at shutdown (Firefox starts automatically when I restart Windows)

(4) Firefox finds a command in a user.js file to restore your session once (this article has a section on that file: How to fix preferences that won't save)

Was the problem caused by any of those?

Even if Firefox doesn't restore your previous session windows and tabs automatically, you generally can restore them through the menus. The easiest way to prevent that is to erase ALL history; it is far more complicated to keep browsing history but block session restore. But perhaps there is some combination of settings that could do that if the problem persists.
