headphone's buttons don't skip songs or videos on firefox

I've been listening to a lot of music recently and while wearing my headphones I can long press the volume up button to skip a song and the volume down to go back a song on my phone, at first I thought it just didn't work on my laptop but then I tried to do it with a different browser and it worked just fine so it seems like this is an issue with firefox

The Firefox developers have been working to add this functionality to Firefox. As far as I know, it's currently just under development and isn't enabled on Firefox by default. However, it appears to work fine and can be enabled manually.

To enable it set the media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled preference to true from the about:config page in Firefox. You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to be applied.

Hope this helps.

Are you having issues with just the skip buttons not working or is the play/pause also not working for you? I've found that the skip buttons don't appear to be working for every website yet.
