Alright, assuming i do go to About:Networking. How do i use any of that information

Taking IPs for instance, unless i'm willing to pay to pinpoint exactly what IPs are using bandwidth i won't be able to track em down and even then. The information is not disclosed unless they are big players like Amazon or Google

Same goes with the HTTP site, most of that is IPV data.

Is Firefox the default browser ? Does it make a difference if you make another browser the default browser?

Did you do a malware check ?

Yes Firefox has been my default browser for years If i switch to Chrome, i do not seem to have the issue, with the same tabs open (been trying for 5 days now since I've been able to pinpoint the issue to Firefox)

I have checked my PC with Malware Byte without any malware I have a Bitdefender license active at all time My PC has recently been cleaned with CC cleaner (any installed software were games i had installed from steam, about 1TB of games.. those have been installed for years)

Firefox, at a glance is not showing sings of any "infection" in the sense that i get no redirect, no popup nothing. Im usually pretty self sufficient, but this one got me bummed.

Different malware scan tools scan at different levels on your computer. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which will work with your existing antivirus software:

Also, try running Firefox in it's Safe Mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode to see if the issue goes away. So... simply to make a follow up I've tried everything above, nothing returned any error nor malware. I've done a clean install of Firefox, and it's been a few days where i only upload 20 mb of data a day, which is completely normal.

So what actually solved it, I've got utterly no idea, nor do i know what was causing such immense uploads... i would've loved to find out but alas... as long as i don't upload half of my bandwidth allowed per month, i'm cool with it

Yeah definitely.. i still have everything installed and running real time so that i can try and pinpoint what caused the issue. i would LOVE to be able to say hey it's THIS extension or THAT website, if i ever do find it, I'll definitely update this thread.

My only means of using Firefox on my computer is via hotspot from my phone and I only allow tethering when they are physically connected with a cord. No WiFi or Blu-tooth. Outside of an hour or two a day, how would I be having this problem?
