When did Mozilla team up with google chrome? I do not like to share my photos, DD-214s, purchase receipts in my email, funeral programs from my email. All of this has been moved to google drive. Even copies of my drivers license that I sent to MVA. This is highly personal information. I chose FIREFOX as a browser to avoid using google for this exact purpose. Now all of my info is out there for some one to hack. I have been supporting Mozzilla for the last 3 years. Please tell me how and when this happened.

Mozilla is quite simply not "teamed up with Google" in this way. Firefox doesn't automatically upload anything to Google Drive.

If you use a Gmail email address (or any Google-related email), attachments are automatically saved into your Google Drive. This has nothing to do with Firefox or Mozilla, that's a Google feature.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was using your browser when I saw a link to google drive that's why I thought Mozilla had teamed with Firefox. Sorry but I had to vent. Lots of my info that should not be cloud based is. I support Mozilla by donating on a regular bases and will continue to do so. Now to find out how and why this happened. My Firefox home page looks like a google web page. I'll try to send you an image'

It will not let me copy the page. It also has a [Search the Web] field with google's G icon in it. This is outrageous.

Because Google is the most popular search engine, Firefox allows users to select it as their default search engine. However, you can always select another search engine if you so desire. See Change your default search settings in Firefox.

If you are looking for a privacy-focused search engine, DuckDuckGo is probably the option that's best for you.

Hope this helps.

There is no OPTION choice on the menu button. Instead "Managed by your organisation" has just popped up. That statement started on my chrome page back in July. I have no idea where it came from except around that same time Adobe reader started acting up and the CLOUD icon popped up in my task bar. I down loaded this version of Firefox last night and it was Chrome free. When I turned on my laptop this morning all of the google stuff was back. My AOL email is the only place where it does not show up, and all of my bookmarks are original. I tried importing them to Firefox but it imported things from 6 years ago. I AM LOST. I have checked with my cable provider, with the apartment manager, no one has a clue as to what's happening.
