Computer crashed, firefox suddenly reinstalled add-ons
My computer has been crashing every so often, always when firefox is running and I open a new page that takes a lot of resources. The screen goes black with no warning. So, this happened just now. When the computer had booted up again, I opened firefox and it reinstalled all of my addons and gave me a notice about each one as if they were new and wanted me to log in to LastPass. Do you know why it would do this? I installed 2 new addons earlier today (facebook container and duckduckgo privacy essentials). I have firefox set to ask before updating and my last update listed was several days ago (it's up to date), so it wasn't installing an update. I'm just confused as to what happened.

Why is your computer crashing? Do you suspect Firefox as the cause?

It’s possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder
Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.
Delete all extensions* files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
After, restart Firefox.
See "Corrupt extension files":
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You will have to approve the updating one last time.

Well, I've been checking bluescreenviewer and reliability monitor and it seems that it's probably my graphics card :-(
I think when i open certain sites in firefox it puts a load on the graphics card?
Have that checked. Meantime, don't use Firefox on those sites.
Yes, darn it. Thanks for your help. Looks like it's a hardware problem.
