Hi,

I encountered a problem regarding the Firefox settings after unexpected WIN 7 PC shutdown due to a high temperature.

All of my security and safety setting ( history, permissions, location,...) reset to defult Firefox Settings. Even the WEBRTC setting was set to defult (true).

Almost all of the ADD-ones stopped working. So I had to start them again.

Did someone experienced the same problem? And it is possible to be a hack or an issiue with antivirus?

Thank you very much for your time.

Depending on how the computer shut down, some files could have been corrupted.

1) Make sure your cooling fan is working properly. Buy a can of compressed air and blow out the fan and the air vents.

2) Perform a System File Check to fix corrupted system files

FredMcD - You are very kind. I thank you for your answers. I will save the links that you provided. I switched to Firefox browser 1/2 a year ago after using internet from 2001 and must admit that is very interesting to discover, create and learn on this platform.

Wishing all best to all users.
