I use a MACBook. Under Thunderbird there are 3 G-Mail accounts (one, the abıve one) and a fourth Company address. The address in this company account is mayanc@elektropanc.com.tr. But it appears as "Apple, Inc. (mayanc.elektropanc.com.tr); I absolutely have no idea how this "Apple, Inc." has been inherited. My name is "Mustafa Afak Yanc" which can also be slightly shortened to "M.Afak Yanc". Naturally I have no relation with Apple. When I try to edit and delete the Apple, Inc. details I can do the deletion but cannot change the changes.

There should be something that I need to check or un-check to edit the Address Book's contents but cannot find what.

Thanks for any assistance.

Chosen solution

The address book with 'Apple Inc.' is probably the OS X address book, for which TB has read-only access. It appears in TB if you select File/Use Mac OS X Address Book.

I understand the case. But there are many many multiple contacts in this MacOS X Address Book. Is there no way to clean up this?

TB has no editing access to the OS X address book, so you will have to remove the duplicates by opening it from within the operating system.
