I have 8 email accounts in Thunderbird. One of the accounts is used for all of my listservs and has a lot of rules to move the emails into various subjects. It is huge and takes a lot of resources. It slows down Thunderbird considerably. I would like to move that entire account out. Is it possible to have 2 versions of Thunderbird on my computer so that I have the large account in one and the smaller 7 remain in my current version? Or can I move the entire account, including all of the subfolders and existing messages into a new email program? Any suggestions?

I would create a new profile and add the listserv account, copy its mail from the current profile, then remove the account from the original profile. Use Profile Manager to create and launch the profiles, or install the ProfileSwitcher add-on in both profiles.

To start Profile Manager, close TB, Winkey+R, type thunderbird.exe -p
