I STILL CANNOT LOG IN! I had to create a new account! When I try to access this account I get a "page not found" error! I also cannot upload the error page image I made. IT'S SMALL! All I get is an endlessly revolving wheel! Who knows how long this account will last. has firefox been HACKED? I COULD NOT get a confirmation Email, WTF is wrong with firefox? All my add ons, themes, extensions are GONE! What happened to my original account? WHY COULDN'T I LOG INTO IT? WHY COULDN'T I GET A CONFIRMATION EMAIL?

Hi sheila, are you having a problem with your Firefox Account -- use for Sync and other services -- or a Mozilla Support account. The registration system here is still separate after all these years, so it's normal that you would need to create a new account here if you haen't posted before.

Regarding Extensions Not Working

A critical Add-on-related certificate expired (which obviously should not happen). As a result, all verifications for that certificate are failing, preventing many extensions from being used, updated, or installed.

The Add-ons team is working on a fix for this. Official updates are expected to be posted here:

https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/certificate-issue-causing-add-ons-to-be-disabled-or-fail-to-install/39047

Currently, the only workaround is to set your system clock back (for example, if your date is May 3, set to May 2; if your date is May 4, set to May 3). You might have to reinstall extensions after that, or maybe Firefox will detect the difference at your next shut down/restart. Changing the date may have other consequences, so I understand this option isn't ideal.

I DID have an account here but the system didn't recognise it so I finally gave up trying to "reset" my password or log in & so I just created a new account. Thank you for the info on why all of our extensions, add ons & themes suddenly went away, I sure do miss the ad blockers translator, video download programs, DuckDuck go, & my pretty theme. Youtube is now such a PAIN with all those dam ADS for stuff I can't afford or don't want! I can hardly wait for the certificates to be updated.

Again a BIG THANK YOU for such a fast responce!!!

The about:debugging page allows to install a temporary extension for the current session (i.e. you lose it when you close Firefox and need to reinstall on the next start). Because the extension gets a new UUID with every start of Firefox, you wont keep settings from such a second install.

This should at least allow to install a few extensions in case you are desperate. You need to save the extension from the Add-ons page to the hard drive or browse to the hidden extensions folder in the profile folder in "AppData\Roaming".

I wasn't THAT desperate so I just went to bed & waited. It seems the hot flack you folks got soon had you working hard to fix this mess which we very much appreciate. I then had to go to my "password" options area & delete my old passwords & usernames. I'm so glad to get my ad blockers back!
