Hello,

After the most recent Firefox update (66.0.3) I can no longer log in on YouTube. But as I mention in the question... the site plays and loads videos perfectly, but I just can't log in. I can log in fine on Chrome, but really don't like using that bloated mess of a browser.

And every other site I use can be logged into just fine. Firefox has gotten so good these days, and the only issues I ever have are always and only with YouTube. I really hope this isn't some Google salvo against Firefox.

This is on Firefox 66.0.3 64-bit running on macOS 10.11.6.

Hello timidpimp,

Would you please take a look at these articles :

https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/69961?hl=en

And :

https://support.google.com/youtube/troubleshooter/3219097?hl=en

Does that help  ?

If not :

Here are a few things to try :

Clear the Firefox cache :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-cookies-remove-info-websites-stored (scroll down to : "Delete cookies for a single site")

If you use extensions like Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery, then always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

You could also check your settings here :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/content-blocking

If none of the above did the trick, then let's Try Firefox in Safe Mode :

If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running : 3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)

See : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Clearing the cache did the trick, and I'm a little embarrassed I didn't think to do that myself. But the last time I ever had to clear my cache was honestly years ago now, so I guess that solution just wasn't fresh in my brain.

I'm logged in and watching a video as I type this. Thanks again!
