When I open Firefox which has Bing as my home page, a second tab opens at the same time moz-extension://c0e161a1-9167-4c3e-a8cc-38e5dba6b027/newtab/newtab.html. How do I stop this second tab from opening?

Chosen solution

Hi Chris638, the moz-extension:// tab is opened by one of your add-ons. This could be a glitch with that add-on, or its normal behavior.

(Note: it could also be saved as a second home tab. You can double-check your home page setting on the Options page.)

Can you tell from the tab contents which one it is? If not, you can look up that number -- c0e161a1-9167-4c3e-a8cc-38e5dba6b027 -- on the Add-on debugging page. To open that type or paste about:debugging in the address bar and press Enter to load it. Then you can use Find (Ctrl+f) to look for part of that unique numeric ID and see which extension is responsible.
