Each time I am trying to open pdf in a preview format before downloading it, it is always impossible. But with Opera Browser, it is possible, why?.

Firefox comes with a builtin PDF Viewer.

Firefox 52 and later releases only support the Shockwave Flash plugin and disable all other plugins.

Why-do-Java-Silverlight-Adobe-Acrobat-and-other-plugins-no longer work.

Did you use addons such as FoxIt to read pdf files. But I have Acrobat Pro x11 installed so I don't have to worry about reading and editing pdf files.

The problem was that in applications, under options, Portable Document Format was not set as Preview in Firefox
