Over the past week I've gotten 4 updates via apk files. I ran them through VirusTotal and it didn't find anything. But I'm still kind of suspicious. I don't use google play so this might be the only way to update. I've just never noticed it done this way. My question, did you send these updates via apk files?

Hi

Firefox Nightly for Android can update outside of Google Play - it is the only version of Firefox for Android that does this - and with it being the Nightly version, is likely to update very often to provide the latest security and stability updates to our test users.

If this is a concern, I recomend either moving to Firefox Beta for Android (from Google Play).

Not for security and or stability fixes but for latest checkins. Nightly is meant more for Testers and Devs.

The Nightly development channel for desktop Firefox gets checkins twice a day so it gets two updates each day. Sometimes issues can occur until fixed, finished, or reverted.
