import bookmarks from file

It appears this very useful tool is unavailable on Android even though it is on desktop. It's better than syncing, as changes don't propagate back to my account if I don't want them to. I don't really want to give my tablet access to my account - other family members use it in vacation.

Hi

It is possible to do this by navigating to:

file:///storage/emulated/0/Download/test.html

(Where test.html is the file with the bookmarks in the file path list above)

Thank you Seburo, this allows loading a bookmark file ..... but the bookmarks themselves are not imported. IMHO, import is still needed.

However, this is extremely helpful and provides a work around to the problem.

Why don't Mozilla make possibility available to import html file bookmarks directly to firefox for android?

You are forcing us to use the firefox on other devices, like PC, because of this.

Personally I would use really, but because my laptop is 8 years old, and as such, I can only use puppy Linux on it installed, I can't use firefox, because it's so slow on my single core laptop. That's why I am using Palemoon on the laptop. So, what should I do, please? On my nice tablet I want to use, and am using firefox for android, and on laptop using Palemoon.... So, at least make it possible to upload our html bookmarks directly into account firefox, just to be able to sync with the firefox account on firefox for Android.

I don't know any other solution for this problem.
