Can't copy images from a Website to Word ( only text) other browsers do this fine ?

I like to copy useful technical web-pages with screenshots to Word where I have a filing system setup

for some reason new Firefox can't copy the images - only the text ?

this is very odd as other Browsers eg Internet Explorer does this with no difficulty

What tool do you use to make the screenshots? Firefox's built-in screenshot function?

thanks for reply

I've just been :-

1. selecting the text & photos

2. Right-Mouse - COPY

3. Go to Word

4. PASTE

the text & hyperlinks go across ok but images don't ?

not taking screenshots as such as I need to be able to edit text and the photos ( ie resize them ) in Word

Hi Richard,

From my own experience, I know you sometimes need to double-check whether the images were actually selected. The images should appear as having a filter on them after selection.

Also, try using Ctrl+C in the second step.

yes images definitely selected ( Edit>Select All) also with text greyed 

( blue-ish)

then Right Mouse Copy or CTRL+C ( on selected area)

over to Word

Paste

Sometimes get 1 photo but others missing often just all missing

Could you check something:

Select, copy, paste a problem page into a new blank document.

Then disable style rules on the page as follows:

tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar, then View > Page Style > No Style

Select, copy, paste the unstyled content into a new blank document.

Do the images present and images missing match between the two when viewed in the Print Layout view? Is there any difference if you switch to Web Layout view?

(To switch the web page back to normal: View > Page Style > Basic Page Style)

I've tried a test run & this time the photos appear to have come thru onto Word - smaller file maybe - odd

got a busy weekend I'll try to run some more tests next week and post again if there's still a problem
