my system crashed. When I re-opened, Firefox lost all my history. Why didn't it retain all the tabs that were opened when the system crashed? Nothing shows.

Restore session didn't come up as an option. And so all my pages are lost. Why? History shows exactly nothing.

If your system crashed, it may have corrupted the hard drive. Find a hard drive scanner/repair for your system.

It didn't actually crash, I don't need a hard drive repair. It just re-booted itself. My Safari retained its history, but Firefox lost everything.

Please can you respond, thank you.

If the computer was not shut down properly, there can be corrupt files. Run a disk scan/repair.
