lost Firefox icon
The Red Firefox icon is gone and replaced by a generic black and white windows placeholder icon. This happened after the FF 58 update.

Hmm, I don't know why that would happen.
To generate a new Firefox shortcut, you could try this:
(A) Open the Firefox program folder in Windows Explorer. That's either:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
You can open Windows Explorer using either the Windows key + E shortcut, or you can paste the path into the Start menu search box and press Enter to load that folder.
(B) Right-click firefox.exe and then on the context menu click Send To and then Desktop (create shortcut)
Does that work?
You can check for issues with the Windows icon cache.
Try to rebuild the icon cache (IconCache.db).
- Open the Task Manager (Shift+Ctrl+ESC)
- In the Process tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process.
- Open the file picker via "File > New Task (Run)" and click the Browse button.
- Type or Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local or %LocalAppData% in the File name field (AppData is a hidden folder).
- Select the IconCache.db file and use "Delete" in the right-click context menu to delete the file.
- After the IconCache.db file has been deleted, start a new explorer.exe process via "File > New Task" to get the desktop and Taskbar back.
Note that IconCache.db is a hidden file, so make sure you can see hidden files.
I'm running Linux Mint 18.2 (64-bit) and after upgrading Firefox from 58 to 59, all of my official Firefox icons have been removed. The only ones that have remained are the ones that came with the system (built-in) and the ones coming from the themes I installed (including Hi Color). Is this a bug or not? If so, can someone please refer to us the link to it. Thanks...
