I was here a few days ago asking Firefox to help me have control over my YouTube selections that were offered. Like magic Firefox created the 3 dot icon next to every YouTube page that appeared, and I could tell it to go away, that no I didn't want to see it. Now the selections are all changed, and I have a big menu thing to choose from and none of them have anything to do with my YouTube selections. What Firefox had created before was perfect. Now I'm back to where I was before. I don't want to fill out a big menu. I just want to be able to control the selections of YouTubes that are presented to me.

I have asked Firefox to help me have control over my YouTube selections. (solved but now not solved) I have asked Firefox to put a toolbar on the History page so I can email selections. There still isn't a tool bar on the History page. I did have the ability to refuse YouTube offerings in autoplay, but now I don't anymore. I have a big menu now of choices that has nothing to do with what I need. I thought I said I was happy as a lark with what Firefox created, but now we're back to zero again.

I don't think I am such a different person than the average user. I like YouTube and I like to email people links. I just want some control over the things I'm offered by YouTube in autoplay. I start out okay and then YouTube inserts choices that I hate, and gets me off track. If I could just click on the choices and say no thanks, like before, that would be great.

Put yourself in my place if you were a YouTube lover and you were being offered things you weren't interested in -- wouldn't you want to be able to signal no thanks? I was also able to create a playlist before with what was built into the app Firefox gave me, but now it's gone. It's all gone.

I'm tired of writing so much to Mozilla Firefox. I'm tired and frustrated that my computer isn't working the way I want it to. I wrote a whole bunch of stuff and Firefox had it all going great, and I said iTHANK YOU, ITS PERFECT, THANK YOU. And now it's all changed again, just a big confusing mess, and I still idon't have the one thing I asked for which is to be able to refuse offerings. It was working an hour or so ago, but now it's something else. Something I don't like, that requires a lot of decisions on my part that have nothing to do with what I asked for and give me the feeling that I won't have a working computer at all pretty soon if I start clicking on any of the questions presented to me.

Could you double-check that you are logged into your Google/YouTube account? If you see SIGN IN in the upper right corner, you're not logged in.

Certain menu buttons are not available when you use YouTube as an anonymous user. I have attached a screenshot with two examples of menus that will not appear when you are not logged in.

I could do that. But Mozilla had a nice thing going until just one hour ago. Why did the feature that allowed us to choose our YouTube selections just go away, and replaced with all that big bunch of questions that are hard to answer, and confusing. If I write to Mozilla maybe they will put it back the way it was?

Most of the YouTube forums concerns people who make YouTubes, not watch them. YouTube would probably like to force us to watch their choices, and not ours. If that's what we want, we could just watch TV.

I will try going into YouTube to see if anybody will hear me. I doubt they will. They have their own agenda.

I feel very discouraged because Firefox had fixed it perfect. Why did they take it away? I will write to Firefox programmers and ask them to please put it back. But then things are always changing, and you can never just count on your computer anymore these days. It's like the PTB don't want us to use a computer really.

Thank you for trying to help me. You guys have a tough job even for people getting paid, let alone as volunteers.

You're welcome .....

I hope that you're aware of the fact that Mozilla is not responsible in any way for YouTube settings, channels etc..

The app is back. I didn't sign in but maybe it happened automatically.  ???

Computerland is curiouser and curiouser.

Maybe I should take a hint and do some studying on how to navigate around better.

I am gratified by so many people being patient with me and trying to help. That wonderful app never went away. So somehow my computer didn't recognize me as signed in -- or Youtube didn't. The app was asking me to fill out a lot of things, which I didn't do. Almost like I have two computers going at once. Maybe because I have IMAP and the other running together. Maybe it was a synchronization problem. That's probably it.

These advances in computer programming reminds me of buying a car with auto locks and auto this and that, auto window roll up, and then when something isn't running just right good luck on trying to sort out all the wires and figure out where something is blocked up. I'd rather just have a car that keeps running and you never have to worry that the windows won't go up or down because you just turn the handle.

Those were the good old days when we had XP.
