This forum doesn't use a Firefox Account to log in here.

A totally different registration system is used here than many other Mozilla sub-domains use; I had accumulated 6 or 7 different registrations for "Mozilla" over the years, and all the others were transitioned slowly as the software was updated for those sub-domains to the Firefox Account system.

The software here was changed about 10 months ago, but that didn't work out well so we're back to the old software for now. But I expect that sometime next year this forum will also fall under the Firefox Account system, too.

I do not know how or why I finally achieved a successful connection to Mozilla Support, but I am now satisfied. Perhaps I had expectations of a connection procedure common to other software applications. I believe the change I made was signing as my username rather than the related email address. Old habits. Must read the very specific scripts!

I have used Firefox as one of my available Internet tools for years. I have always kept at least two available so that if I have a new issue with one, I can use another to help search for an answer.

I am particularly pleased with a specific aspect of V57. I use IBM Trusteer Rapport as extra security for banking. Microsoft did something on recent updates so that Edge and Trusteer no longer work together. Firefox not only works, it now allows Trusteer to function on any website on which I have a credit card connection. Excellent.
