Firefox does not remember my last page when I shut it down despite the restore previous session. It always takes me to something I looked at earlier.

So I use restore previous session. Ever since the most recent update I've noticed when I start my computer up and click on firefox it doesn't take me to what I left it on the night before when I finished browsing. It takes me to something I looked at on Google earlier on in the session.

So after posting this I shut Firefox down and restarted it. It comes up with the message Firefox is installing updates and ever since then it's been fine. So fingers crossed it's fixed by itself.

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
