WHY!?!

I changed to Firefox lots of years ago, cause IE got worse and worse. With your last update the performance got totally awesome and I totally love your "crash management" ... saved my life! But with you last big update you also invented the three dots when clicking on "New Tab". I love to just delete one of the recently closed tabs with a single click and now ... yeah ... much more effort. I also loved the old theme so much more. Now you can choose black (which is definitely the color of my soul!) or white or something in between but the old style really was so much nicer! And what about the icon? WTF! If I save a site the icon says: Don't click on me! Kill meeeeeeeee! ... If you need a guy to test some new stuff you can contact me :D So all in all: I really love FF but sometimes you shouldn't change too much. Cheers and THX, Hans

Glad you like the Black : More Extensions and info will come out such as how to do this : Here's a more comprehensive project which affects not only tabs but brings back the old "grid-style" options menu. https://github.com/axydavid/FirefoxUI/blob/master/README.md

It isn't completely possible to use the Australis design with Firefox 57, but depending on what you want, you might be able to customize the UI to look more like the old one: This project: https://github.com/wilfredwee/photon-australis lets you have the old tab bar appearance back in Firefox 57. You can remove the space around the address bar by right-clicking on the spaces, and choosing "remove from toolbar". Note the Black Theme is just a Example and can be found in Customize.

Now I do not understand about the 3 Dot comment. I have 12 tabs open and I do not see the 3 dots until am way way down from 12 and I only see the 3 Dots when a page is loading. That is the reason of the 3 Dots to show it is the active page and it is loading or there is a page that has auto reload from CNN perhaps. It is suppose to be a feature. It can be removed but I do not know how.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks a lot for your reply and sorry for my angry comment. I was a little drunk :D What I meant with the three dots is: When I click on the PLUS button to open a new tab I can see the most important sites. And to remove one of these sites you just could click on an X to delete it from there and now you have to click on these three dots to get the menu to delete the link.
