i think disabling hardware acceleration would be a good idea if you get BSODs: Follow instructions to resolve the issue. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration TRY NO HARDWARE ACCELERATION
Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use, but 52.5.0 ESR is! It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.
You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Please submit the bp- files back in a message as directed by this : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-asking-support If you do not follow what it says I will not be able to open the URL to get the report. Note : am only looking for info here at the times of the BSOD. If there is none at those time s but around the same time then submit, If non-found do not submit. Thank You.

1. There are no recent Firefox crash reports. The most recent was 3/14/2017.
2. I have that 10/14/2013 updated video driver installed and it has been working properly for over 2 years.
This problem started after Firefox was upgraded to ver 57 from ver 56.0.2
Have you followed the instructions for updating your Video Card Drivers ? Please do so and run and do your usual browsing and see how it runs. If you are doing fine please mark that as solved. If not come back and will help you some more. Thanks.

Where it says unavailable you have a ERROR 'D3D11_HW_ANGLE'}, {u'status': u'available', u'description': u'GPU Process', u'log': [{u'status': u'available', u'type': u'default'}], u'name': u'GPU_PROCESS'}, {u'status': u'unavailable',
Please reinstall this........man...... Are we on the same page that we are trying to solve this issue ? Then take the info and do it please. You are making this harder than it needs to be.

i think disabling hardware acceleration would be a good idea if you get BSODs: Firefox's performance settings
I re-installed the video driver. There is no change in the driver.
I think the solution is reverting back to Firefox 56.0.2 It worked perfectly.

Turned off hardware acceleration in Firefox. Will advise
It appears disabling hardware acceleration has solved the problem. Thanks to all.
Thank you. I will try turning off hardware acceleration in top right ☰ > Options (first page bottom) > Performance > Uncheck "Use Recommended" > Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available"
I spent quite a while getting multi-row tabs (UserChrome.css) and installing new Quantum compatible add ons, and updating my video drivers and BIOS but still I got BSOD, and freezes, when using Quantum. I am now using Chrome but there are some things I miss such as multi-row tabs (how difficult can that be?!).
I will try turning off hardware acceleration since it is the communication between processes that cause the crash "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor"
I think it is just that FF Quantum uses a lot of multiprocessing and sometimes a processor just gets busy such as updating a USB driver.
I wonder if Firefox could be made to wait longer.
