I need to use a Legacy TOOLBAR for "Addthis"... can you help me (either) get it back, or figure out how to revert FIREFOX so that it will work again?

Thanks!

Hi,

It is no longer possible to use legacy extensions in the latest version of Firefox. There are several addons that provide similar functionality:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/share-backported/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/addtoany-share/

Additionally, AddThis has discontinued support for their extensions (http://www.addthis.com/academy/addthis-browser-extensions-no-longer-supported/ ), so it likely the add-on would have stopped working at some point anyway.

I have not personally tested either of these extensions, so I cannot guarantee that they will work.

You can also find replacement add-ons in the following places:

  1. Click the menu button The image "Fx57menu" does not exist. and choose Add-ons (or enter about:addons in a new tab).
  2. In the Add-ons Manager that opens, Click Legacy Extensions
  3. Click the Find a Replacement button next to your legacy add-on.

The extension finder utility: https://mozilla.github.io/extension-finder/

The add-ons forum: https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/add-ons/add-on-support

Here are your choices; 1) Contact its support and ask if they will update 2) Find a replacement 3) Downgrade to a prior Firefox 4) Do without

user1929 - SUPERB! The ADD TO ANY one worked like a charm... I would rather it be able to be added as a SEPARATE TOOLBAR, but can't have everything... at least it's clickable, and easy to use.

Thanks for your help!

Good night....

A little story personally i start using Firefox only because a prized extension called downthemall, this extension is very usefull in academic life. The developer not intereste in continue with Project in quantum line, personally i stop using Firefox, because of their unilateral decision to discontinue extension abandon users and developers.

This is my personally opinion, but in my work everybody need a solution for the ausence of some important extensions, well i open a case on support and the only suggestion is to downgrade Firefox, great do it in one o two machines is simple but in a Thousand is not so simple, well for everybody who have similar problem i discover a simple solution, that you use in several machines .....without mozilla support help they are not interestes in legacy extension, users or developers...

well let me see:

1- download <strike>https://mozilla-firefox-portable.br.uptodown.com/windows</strike> 2- Install in a folder of your choice 3- configure in options block updates. 4- install your desired extensions 5- copy the folder to a network área, and do a batch packet to distribute in your network machines...

This solutions permit tha you maintain the two version alternate between it....

I expect that i help all orphan users from mozilla support...

I dont have more doubts anda dont need any answer good night for mozilla foundation.... the last turn off the lights....a great hugh

The proper place to get previous versions of portable Firefox is at https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/ and not some random unofficial download site.

Unless you get the program from a trusted source, you don't know what you will end up with.
