Content disappears when mpv is closed

While watching a video firefox displays content fine, once the program closes any tabs that were loaded appear blank, sometimes with a spinning grey circle type thing but the content never reappears. I have confirmed this behaviour with and without hardware acceleration with safe mode on and with a new profile.

I noticed this happens when running 3d accelerated games too so something about using opengl seems to be the problem.
